Hangtown's Gold Bug Park features Gold Bug Mine, a horizontal drift, hard-rock mine. The area is rich in Gold Rush history. The mine is open to the public for self-guided tours. Guided group tours available by appointment. The 61-acre park has hiking trails, picnic areas, covered intrepretive center, gift shop, museum and a stamp mill on its original site.
