    Hangtown's Gold Bug Park

    Hangtown's Gold Bug Park features Gold Bug Mine, a horizontal drift, hard-rock mine. The area is rich in Gold Rush history. The mine is open to the public for self-guided tours. Guided group tours available by appointment. The 61-acre park has hiking trails, picnic areas, covered intrepretive center, gift shop, museum and a stamp mill on its original site. School groups welcome. Open daily mid-April to Novovember 1, then weekends only to mid-April.

    The Iron Door

    Built in 1852, this historic site was first called the Granite Store. The building is made from solid granite blocks. Located only 25 miles from the Yosemite National Park. The Iron Door includes a saloon, grill, store, coffee shop, live music and entertainment. Also available is artwork.
